It was Awesome to be Playing in my Big Backyard this weekend in Canmore, AB. As usual I got carried away with the shots... good thing I brought my headlamp for the way down.
I shot this wonderful sunset from 2,407m from the top of Ha Ling Peak with my Nikon D800E and 24-70mm 2.8 lens : f/8 at 1/2 sec at 100 ISO. My saturation on my picture control was cranked. The dynamic range of the Nikon D800E never ceases to amaze me!!
Join Kristian as he shares some of his most engaging expedition photography. This remarkable collection takes us on a journey from child soldiers in Africa to ancient Yogi caves near the Himalayas to distant mountain villages in Papua New Guinea and beyond. Kristian will expose for you the unique, quickly vanishing cultures and natural magnificence of places that have rarely been captured. Beyond the Photographic Expedition with Kristian Bogner was recorded entirely with the Nikon D5100 and D7000 cameras at the Drake Hotel in Toronto and this event was presented by Nikon as part of the 2011 Contact Festival.
These Killer Water Sport Images were shot last month in Maui under extreme conditions. More to come soon.
Remembering An Incredible Christmas in India Dec. 25, 2009.
These images were all shot in the 24hrs from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day, starting with a Beer Pong game with locals in the Mountains to rafting with World Class Kayakers in the Great Subansari River, beginning our two week adventure on the river that only about two handfuls of people have ever been down and likely ever will.
